Mission Statement:
AFPRO
dedicates itself to its mission of alleviating rural
poverty by promoting and working through voluntary
organizations; with a focus on enabling the marginalized
and weaker sections of rural society to participate in
the process of rural development by strengthening their
resource base and capabilities through improved
knowledge and skills, both in the technical and
socio-economic development areas.
Dy. Director to be positioned in New Delhi at their
Head Office
Minimum Qualification
desirable – Post Graduation degree in
Geology/Applied Geophysics / Civil Engineering /
Hydrology / Hydrogeology / NRM / Social Sciences /
social Work from reputed University
Preference will be given
to doctorate degree holders or to those with MBA along
with post graduate degree in any of the fields mentioned
above.
Retired Civil Servants
with proven record of exceptional competence in
development work will also be considered.
Experience:
Minimum 15 years with National/International NGOs/Govt.
working in areas connected with NRM, agriculture,
environment, food security & livelihood and renewable
energy. Field Experiences under Climate Change will be
an added advantage.
Candidates who have
engaged in action research programmes atleast for a
period of 5 years will be also considered for the post.
Responsibilities –
Will be engaged directly under Executive Director and
will be responsible for establishing relationship with
Multilateral Agencies / International / United Nations /
World Bank / Public sector / Private sector Foundations
of MNCs / European Union / Central & State Govts. and
with Bilateral Countries established in activities
connected with NRM / Environment / Water and Sanitation
/ Food security and Renewable Energy. Special
engagement to co-ordinate with 8 National Missions for
action under Climate Change. He/She will take very
active part in enhancing the visibility of the
organization through our learnings disseminated during
past 40 years & will also take initiatives for sourcing
programmes for Field Units and Satellite offices for
enhancing spread of programmes of the organization for
serving marginalized communities in India. He/She will
be responsible for documentation efforts for visibility
enhancement of the organization.
Age : Candidates
between 45-53 years will be preferred.
Remuneration: Rs.
8 to 10 lakhs p.a. Negotiable if most qualified and
eminent candidates are identified.
