Sustainability of the project

 Assured flow of fund and unstinted efforts by the consortium will ensure satisfactory implementation of the project activities. The internal monitoring and evaluation mechanism of the consortium shall ensure proper functioning. The project sustainability will be addressed with the following ways: 

• A planned adaptive strategy for long term and short term adjustment to the project intervention shall be developed. Optimal and flexible combination of the adaptation options shall be developed for respective agro-ecological situations and livelihoods.

   

• Peoples’ adaptive capacity towards physical infrastructure, new farming practices, additional enterprises, research innovation, institutional frameworks, community resilience and socio-cultural adjustment shall be enhanced through training, onsite demonstration and participatory action learning.

• Project intervention would stretch the limits of the local adaptive responses, as well as the innovation, experiences, selection of technologies suiting their livelihoods, culture and environment of the respective areas.

• Sustainability of livelihood after the phase out of the project shall be ensured through handholding mechanism created at the CRC. The creation of the sustainability fund provision at the Community Resource Centres (CRC) during pre-implementation phase shall help in supporting the handholding mechanisms.
